Robert, Brene & Tayden would sincerely like to thank all the individuals and companies that have assisted them so far in trying to achieve their dream of getting Tayden to Austria for treatment and curing him of his Feeding Tube Dependency. Tayden CAN be cured and lead the normal life that he is meant to – all that is standing between him and this goal is the sum of R180 000!
Wings & Wishes – Not only did Wings & Wishes assist us last year and fly Tayden and Brene to Cape Town for further tests when he was seriously ill, but they have agreed to cover the costs of the flights for Tayden and Brene to Graz, Austria to enable us to go for treatment. This really is a worthy cause and we do encourage people to assist this team and charity in any way you can. A big thank you to Gail, Bev and the team, without whom it would not be possible – go to www.wingsandwishes.org for further information.
Amakhala – Amakhala, a stunning game reserve situated within the Eastern Cape, have kindly agreed to sponsor two nights accommodation for us to raffle and raise funds for Tayden’s trip and expenses. A stunning set of lodges about an hour's drive out of Port Elizabeth, Amakhala is the perfect getaway and well worth a visit! See their website at www.amakhala.co.za
Repro House - To Andrew, Matt & their team, thanks for sponsoring the printing of Tayden's raffle booklet! You can reach them on (041) 505 5200.
A special thanks must go to Tayden’s paediatricians, all the partners at Dr Wickens & Associates who have taken many calls (at various hours of the day and night!) and dealt with us numerous times since Tayden’s birth.
A special word of mention must go to Dr Purchase whose patience, knowledge and practical advice have been most helpful. Dr P, you are a star! Thanks for keeping our hopes alive and our spirits up through a very trying 19 months. Words cannot express our gratitude for what you have done to assist us with our little man! We promise to try to “stalk” you less in future!
Thanks too, to Sister Lynette Scheepers and the team at St George’s Paediatric Unit who have been with us every step of the way. Sister Scheepers, thanks for sharing Christmas with us and making Tayden’s day a special one!
Thanks you to all the prayer groups at various churches who have been kept very busy with Tayden’s needs!
To all the ladies on the Health24 Parenting Forum who keep Brene (Peta) sane when Tayden wont eat and she stresses!
Thanks to all the anonymous donors who have assisted us.
Last but not least, thanks to our family for their continued support and encouragement as we deal with the issues and try and raise the funds to get Tayden to Austria and have a happy, healthy son/grandson/nephew/cousin who actually eats and drinks! What a blessing that will be!
